The Singapore-based System Access will establish a "support centre" in Pakistan with the help of local resources with an initial investment of $1 million.

The Singapore's software giant and leading global providers of banking software solutions, (System Access) will also establish an "Islamic Resource Centre" in the second phase at a cost of $3 million.

The centre will support and develop increasing demands of software-based Islamic banking solutions in the region and the Central Asian Republics.

Ora-tech Systems Executive Vice President and a representative of System Access in Pakistan, Syed Asim Zafar told Business Recorder here on Thursday that the company has also entered into an agreement and has acquired "Comex Genesys Berhad" (Comex Genesys), an established credit card and payment solutions provider.

He said the acquisition of "Comex Genesys" is in line with the System Access strategy of achieving growth through strategic alliances and acquisitions. The proposed acquisition will make Comex Genesys a 100 percent-owned subsidiary of System Access.

Asim said the initiative would help the country greatly, especially in establishing a human resource centre that generates more employment in the software development and establishing the human resource to develop world class software products in the country and market these products in the region.
